Alexander Nguyen was raised in a simple four walls and a roof house in Vietnam, where the natural elements were part of
his everyday life. As a connection to his childhood, Alex has a passion for the outdoor and the interaction between
humans and the external forces of their surroundings. His works focus on the interplay between architecture and its
natural environments as a way for both to be mutually beneficial. He has received multiple awards that align with his
focus, this includes WWF Nature Observation Cabins – Young Architect Competition and Nomadic Blocks – Volume Zero Tiny
House.
Alexander graduated with his Master of Architecture in 2018 from University of Texas at Arlington, with six months of
study abroad at University of Innsbruck, Austria. He also has a combined of 6 years professional experience at various
architecture firms in Seattle and Dallas.
